Aims and Scope

Journal of Basic Science (JBS) is an open access journal. It aims to publish original research from across all the areas of the natural sciences, medicine and engineering. JBS‘s goal is to advance and spread basic understanding of molecular and cellular biology. In the field of natural science, which links and integrates molecular biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, biophysics, biochemistry, enzymology, physiology, and biotechnology, JBS publishes original articles, reviews, brief communications, methods, meta-analysis notes, letters to editor, and comments. Therefore, in order to demonstrate the various connections, JBS is open to extensive interdisciplinary exchanges in medical, pharmaceutical, biological, natural sciences, medicine, and engineering research.

Editorial Process

We focus on ensuring that all papers we publish are of high technical quality, and let the scientific community determine the impact of your work. Our editorial process focuses on the robustness and validity of your research, from methodological, analytical, statistical and ethical perspectives, rather than making subjective decisions on your manuscripts.

Time to first decision: 10 days.     Once the manuscript is accepted, the manuscript will be published in 3-5 days.

Our Impact

Journal of Basic Science aims to impact in the field of basic science, natural science, medicine, and engineering in improving the scientific advancement and development globally.

Article Processing Fee (APC)

There is no submission fee.

All submitted papers are subject to an article processing fee upon acceptance. If a manuscript is withdrawn after submission, processing fees will apply. The APC is 500 (USD).
